My family truly enjoyed staying at Cody's place. The place was large and spacious and the views from the balconies were lovely. The temperature stayed cool, even in July, and we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub after hiking the many near by trails. Some things need to be updated on the property, such as dishes, kitchen utensils, towels and small holes in the window screens, but we all had a very relaxing time on our vacation at Cody's.

We love Cody's Place. The views of the Valley from the deck and great room are beautiful. We are able to walk to Dolly Sods for hiking without having to drive miles to get to a trail head. The kitchen is well equipped. There is plenty of room for family and friends. The great room has a sound system so we are able to listen to music while enjoying the view.

We really loved Cody's with the four (4) levels & three (3) decks to sit on (although all the stairs about killed us). My grandson pretty much lived in the loft and our dog thoroughly enjoyed himself staying passed out on the main deck. Sunsets were lovely, as well as the one evening of lightning, and one day of snow showers which left everything looking very scenic and white. It was very quiet and peaceful and we barely saw anyone around including on the roads. We really enjoyed being on a "high" property with the views.
The decks which face the west for sunsets. Things were provided like (coffee k cups, water - surprised!) toilet paper, pump soap, dish soap, spices, etc. was there, as not everyone has those things with them the first night if they didn't hit the store first. The many casement windows were great to let cool air pass through. That there were tv's in several areas and all the lighting in the home was sufficient, unlike many places that can be fairly dim.

We couldn't have picked a better place, than Cody's Place for our family gathering for Thanksgiving. 7 adults and 2 dogs had plenty of room to lounge, sleep, dine and explore. The house is well-equipped for cooking, and the firewood was much-appreciated for nightly fires in the beautiful stone fireplace. We had a great time exploring the mountain trails, and the light dusting of snow made it that much more beautiful. The view from the house is spectacular which made for some great family photo
