Mountain Glory is a unique property that offers adventure, solitude, relaxation and serenity. A great place for family time, a private get-away with your sweetheart or your own mountain for a family friendly group vacation. It’s the perfect spot for a West Virginia mountain experience. You’re going to want to return again and again.

We are situated on a private 12-acre lot high on Briarpatch Mountain in quiet Harman, WV. Our driveway requires you to have ALL WHEEL DRIVE in the summer months and a 4WD in the winter months and some GUTS. No Guts, No Glory! Hence the name Mountain Glory. You’ll be telling your friends about it. Chains are required in winter weather. Seriously, get ready for a really cool (but steep) mountain driveway. Arriving to our beautiful cabin is half the fun and it’s so worth it.

Mountain Glory offers sleeping for up to 14 with 4 Bedrooms, plus private den with sofa bed, 4 Full Baths. With bedrooms on all three floors, this cabin is a great spot for multi-family to spread out. Mountain Glory is also the perfect spot for a smaller group or couple, offering your choice of two Master Suites with privacy.
  • Two Master Suites with private bath (1 King in basement, 1 Queen upstairs)
  • Main floor bedroom (1 King)
  • Bunk Room with trundles upstairs (2 Full, 2 Twins)
  • Main floor Den with 1 sofa bed
  •  We have 4 full baths, 1 upstairs, 1 on main floor and 2 in basement, to accommodate a group comfortably.

NO KEYS! You will be given a code for the keyless entry system for ease of use! This is your personal code during your stay. You can select code so you remember. This allows you to go directly to the cabin versus the rental office for keys.

Mountain Glory has two refrigerators and two kitchen areas so you can stock up and store lots of stuff! This is a remote cabin, drive to closest grocery store is 25 minutes one way, so plan ahead with a grocery stop prior to arriving or plan to bring some starter food or stop at Cooper’s in town and then take a trip to grocery store. Cooper’s Country Store in Harman is a well-stocked (food, supplies, wine and beer) small market for starters. They also have pizzas, subs, ice cream, you can walk-in or call ahead and pick-up. They are your closest resource. They provide replacement propane tanks for the grill should you need it, just let them know you are staying at Mountain Glory and they’ll put it on our tab. They are typically open from 7am – 7pm but may have seasonal hours. Shop N’ Save in Davis, WV is your best bet for groceries if you are coming in from the North via Route 48. They carry everything you need, including beer & wine, walking sticks, books, fixings for ‘smores. They are located at 371 Williams Avenue, Davis, WV 26260. They are open from 8am – 9pm.
You will find other store options in the towns of Elkins, Petersburg and Parsons.

But only if they are well-mannered. Please bring your mannerly pup and enjoy your trip with them by your side, don’t let them roam far from the cabin. There are dogs who live at cabin above ours, you might hear them welcome you with some friendly barks.

Hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, skiing & x-country, golfing, birding, whitewater rafting, tubing, horseback riding, eating, reading, sleeping, relaxing, music and art. It’s all here.

Visit Canaan Valley State Park and Ski & Golf Resort, Dolly Sods Wilderness, Seneca Rocks, Blackwater Falls State Park, Allegheny Highlands Trail, Blackwater Canyon Rail Trail, Greenbank Telescope, Cass Railroad. Visit the artsy and musical town of Thomas (The Purple Fiddle is the best!) or go mountain biking (rent from Blackwater Bikes) from Davis. Take your pick of several local breweries in the area.

See more details for planning at links below. There are ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES in this area. WILD & WONDERFUL, WEST VIRGINIA!

I worked with Becky. She was always kind and helpful. We had no issues with getting to the property or payments. Every interaction went smoothly. I even called one day to ask questions and she kindly chatted with me about the property we would be renting.
Absolutely loved this property. My family really wants to go back. A big thank you to the homeowner for sharing with us.

Everyone at the Realty Office I had interaction with was very professional and kind.
We truly enjoyed Mountain Glory. I would love to see pictures of what it looked like before the renovation. We are already making plans to come back in the summer months to enjoy the outside more. The cabin was very spacious and comfortable!

The responses were quick and really helpful and accurate.
My family and I just had a wonderful Christmas at this cabin and were so impressed with everything about the place. The cabin looks a lot more luxurious and spacious than the pictures actually....everything seemed brand new and sparkling clean. The place is incredibly well equipped, especially as we were constantly eating and preparing big meals, we never ran out of anything or wished there was more utensils/bowls/glasses etc. There are basically three sitting rooms with TVs and lovely comfortable leather sofas so the whole group can split up and make their own fun, or come together in the main living room. All the furnishings are of a high standard and stylish (including the comfy beds, bedding and bathrooms!) A lot of thought went into planning the details in the home to make living in it comfortable and easy. The hot tub was a delight, particularly at night with our hats on as it was so snowy and cold outside! Matt was an amazing host, even texting us to see if we were warm enough! Don't be put off by the drive up! It is about a mile long and very easy if you have 4 wheel drive. I left my Honda Fit at the bottom of the hill which would not have made it. This cabin is by far the best Air B and B I have stayed in and we can't wait to return in the summer!

Hands down my favorite getaway to date! Rustic simplicity and modern comfort. The cabin is beautiful, charming and simple while being very comfortable. You can spend a day just hiking around the property. The hike all the way up the drive to the overlook rewarded us with spectacular views and a vibrant sunset. The peace and quiet there is priceless. No cell service means no annoying call from The World, but the wifi provides the contact that ,should you want to, send text or surf the net. The hot tub is wonderful after a day of checking out the scenery. There is a wide selection of activities very close by, but we preferred our time just watching the wildlife from the deck. Dinner outside was lovely. This is the perfect place to escape. I'm looking forward to going back again

We picked a glorious week to get away. Autumn painted a different picture every morning. Fog rolled up one morning, the next clear, sunny with a shot of fire or gold in the green. Stunning. Stars for miles at night. A fantastic cabin with everything you could need and more. The neighboring towns, where there were plenty of friendly folk, took care of all our needed supplies. Your father, Marcello, is a treasure! You both did a wonderful job. And I loved your driveway! Kinda reminded me of driving up the rock mountains in Madagascar, in Uncharted 4! :D The hiking, sunsets and morning wildlife was just what we needed. Thank you.

One thing, we made it up the driveway in our 2016 Honda Odyssey Minivan. HOWEVER, even in good weather you MUST turn off your vehicle's 'Traction Control' and use your lowest gear. Most people would not know that and may not make it up the drive. Also, while you may not need 4-wheel drive you definitely need ground clearance. We scraped in several areas even in our van. Secluded. Also, Marcello, the owner's father was a great guy to meet. We ended up having dinner with the guy!
