Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Spring brings some of the best hunting and fishing, and wildflowers. Escape the heat of summer where temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80s. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests.

A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.
You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

Wintercadence was the perfect property for a weekend getaway with friends. It had everything we needed, was in a quiet secluded community, and had a very large hot tub to use.
The hot tub was one of our favorite amenities -- the overall cleanliness of home and safe feeling of the community were also a great add!

Absolutely loved my long weekend at Wintercadence. It was *exactly* what I was hoping for; a fun and relaxing weekend with friends in a cozy and secluded cabin. The fireplace and hot tub were such a highlight. I really look forward to coming back to this property--hopefully in the spring!

Check in and out was very easy. House was very well appointed. We had everything we needed but a coffee maker. The one provided didnt work. Luckily our son was able to bring one from home. Other than that we were very satisfied. The hot tub was heavenly after hiking at Dolly Sods!

The cabin was nice we loved it. But the firewood was wet from rain and would not burn we had to go purchase wood . I would suggest closing in the container holding the fire wood to keep it dry. The hot tub was disgusting it was dirty and cloudy. Their was stuff floating in it.

I called the rental office with some questions before booking the property and the young lady I spoke with, Dakota, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the property. Dakota was also there when we arrived to pick up the keys from the office. She was very friendly, and explained everything (directions, rules, etc.) in perfect detail. The internet passwords we were given did not work, so when calling about the internet problem, we were given instructions on how to log on by other means. We departed before the office opened and left the keys in the drop box which was convenient.

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location in Old Timberline with access to Dolly Sods with so many hiking trails. The house was very nicely furnished and decorated. There were lots of books, games and movies to choose from. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, dishware, appliances, etc. I loved the added touches, like the beautiful lamps throughout the home with dimmer switches, and the throws (blankets) around the living room. These were perfect as the weather turned colder during our stay. Overall, just a very comfy house in a great location and we would love to stay here again. Location in gated community of Old Timberline with miles of roads to walk, beautiful views from the mountain top, and access to Dolly Sods for hiking.
