A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.
You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

An excellent escape from the hectic pace of life in DC. We really wanted our kids to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful fall folliage. The area more than delivered, with stunning hikes across Dolly Sods and in the Canaan Wildlife refuge. We thoroughly enjoyed communal cooking with our group of 7, hanging out on the large porch of our cabin surrounded by gorgeous trees in full color, and lounging in the hot tub. A truly wonderful fall weekend. We loved this cabin - beautiful setting, well designed, spacious with lovely views. It had everything we could have wanted and more (hot tub, large living room, fireplace, open kitchen, plenty of nooks and cranies to sit, sleep etc.) Our one suggestion for improvement would be that the property seemed to lack grill tools, which would have been helpful. That said, we would rent this cabin again in a heartbeat.

Our family enjoys the peaceful atmosphere of the valley and time to get together to relax. Needs better outdoor furniture and update kitchen pots and pans, need to replace sheets and towels. Current sheets and towels are old and tattered. Accommodates our family well and the pond for our grandchildren to fish. like having washer and dryer. New hot tub was nice.
