We have stayed at 5 other cabins at Black Bear and this is the one we liked the most. It was so nice to have a complete set of dishes and utensils, and appliances that matched and didn't look like they were collected at garage sales. Also, the furniture all matched. Again, it looked like it was made for the cabin not cast-offs from somebody's used furniture. One more thing, the general decor was not all bears or skiing, which we thought was awesome. I realize those are key reasons that people come to the area but, if I come in the 6 months when there is no snow?? I don't want to see snow!

I recently stayed at this lovely vacation rental and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was - definitely larger than it looks in the pictures. It's bright, clean and quirky. A very fun place to stay.The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, making meal prep a breeze. Having a fenced-in area for our dog was a huge plus, and the easy walking distance to town made exploring convenient. A big round of applause to the owner, who was an absolute delight to deal with and incredibly accommodating and helpful, especially when we made a big scheduling mistake. The rental company staff was friendly and helpful, they made sure our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The proximity to Thomas and the State Parks was a major bonus. Overall, the house was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds that ensured a good night's sleep. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway

Beautiful Home in a great location! Sleeps a big family and has open concept for families to congregate together while vacationing! Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is amazing!! Wonderful all around, perfect! We had a wonderful stay at this home! Beautiful, Big, Clean! Perfect

This house is cozy and perfect for our girls weekend!

The view! Honestly, the pictures did not do the place justice. We were so pleasantly surprised when we showed up at how beautiful the cabin was. The view having breakfast and coffee in the morning and looking out over the mountains was amazing. The massive windows brought so much of the surrounding mountains into the cabin, it was just spectacular. Truly one of the most pleasant surprises we ever had when renting a place for a getaway. Absolutely loved our stay. Hope to come back again as the area is beautiful and a truly relaxing escape.

Your team is fantastic. There was a water leak in the house when we arrived, and your team had someone out to fix the problem quickly. We were very grateful for the fast response. It is enjoyable working with your team.

Our stay at the Hawthorn House was simply delightful. The open living space provided ample room for relaxation and socializing, while the spacious dining room was perfect for enjoying meals together. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Overall, it was a wonderful retreat that exceeded our expectations.

Team was available and helpful

Great stay for five nights for our group of six with a dog. Brilliant location, quest and secluded. Wonderful stars at night with the fire pit roaring. Close to Davis and nearly unlimited hiking options. Oversize garage if you want to put your cars inside.

Great property for the amount of beds, kitchen a bit small, location awesome, definitely need 4 wheels when there's snow. Would rent again ( our decision would be based on numbers of guests and how many had 4 wheel drive)

Pleasant, friendly and attentive staff to work with.

Just husband and I and we didnt really spend much time inside as the weather was perfect for outdoor activities while visiting. But over all a great place. Enjoyed winding down and watching the wildlife through the large windows while sipping on cocktails.

Location was great. House was clean. Linens were nice. Hot Tub was clean, worked well and seemed to be new. We had a very nice time. It was a beautiful home.

We loved the log cabin timber framing and the stone fireplace, it felt rustic and exactly what we wanted for a weekend in WV. We loved not having all the fees like VRBO and Airbnb tack on! This property was priced accordingly and it was so nice to experience for the price. Great stay, wonderful location and private! Would love to come back in warmer weather to experience the outdoor deck a little more! Thanks so much!

Your team let us check in an hour early and were very helpful in getting an item we left shipped to us.

I really like just being able to pick up the packet and dropping the keys off.
